Conversation with Karina González: Author of The Coquies Still Sing In-Person / Online
Karina González works with school age children in a Brooklyn public school. While targeting students’ storytelling skills through therapy - their boundless imaginations inspired her dream to write picture books.
Her debut book, The Coquíes Still Sing/Los coquíes aún cantan, was published in 2022 by Roaring Brook Press/Macmillan and has won multiple awards, including Pura Belpré honors. Karina is a member of SCBWI, PB Sunrays, Diverse Dreamers and Las Musas:
